A part of the Episcopal Youth Community is reaching out to others around us. We do this by forming outreach groups, and try to reach out to the community and the world at large.
Some of our most recent outreach projects include:
- 1st Annual Spring EYC Outreach Fundraising Dance (St. Martin's, Williamsburg) - June 3rd 6:30 - 9:30
- 2nd Annual EYC Outreach Fundraising Dance (for Make a Wish Foundation) - December 17th 6:30 - 9:30
- Oct. Weekend
- Accepting donations and making cards for Operation Smile (hopefully enough to 2 surgeries)
- Rainbow Christian Bookstore will be present selling Bibles ... etc. (proceeds going to the Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation
The 2004-2005 Board has elected to support the Mission of the Holy Spirit in Norfolk. The board plans to donate one dollar of each retreat registration to the Mission. That's about $250 from each retreat, going to help the Mission. If each person attending the retreat matched that dollar with a donation, the Mission of the Holy Spirit could expect ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS from the EYC this year!
